The new 13-inch MacBook Pro 2020 gives you everything you came to expect from a professional Apple machine. To match, it has come with a newly redesigned keyboard, new Intel processors, improved RAM for better performance. But only if you are willing to pay the price.
It makes this new MacBook model more appealing. So why would you possibly not pick one up immediately!
I am also one of the Apple Lover. But after seeing 16-inch MacBook Pro 2020, the new 13-inch MacBook Pro feels like a step backwards as it is the same old block of unibody aluminum, which looks and feels solid but uninspired. Notably, compared to the likes of the Dell XPS 13, the top bezel of this laptop is pretty thick. It also uses mini LED technology.
This laptop’s release date was 7th May 2020 and is available through Apple.com and other online retailers. This 13-inch MacBook Pro 2020 case has the starting price of $1,299. We had expected the Apple silicon to be embedded in this model. Apple silicon can provide industry-leading performance.
Let’s see more details in deep about this laptop.

13-inch MacBook Pro 2020 Review
Apple has not changed much at all about the basic design of this device. It has a sleek aluminum unibody design in space gray or silver color and weighs just 3 pounds. It is slightly thicker than its previous model.
On opening this new device, however, you’ll see more of a difference. Apple has finally replaced the controversial Butterfly switch keyword with the new Magic Keyboard which is used in the MacBook Air (2020) and the new MacBook Pro 16-inch 2020.
The Touch Bar is present as a thin display above the keyboard that gives you context-sensitive buttons. The TouchID button has been separated from the Touch Bar and now sits slightly apart from Touch Bar. It makes the TouchID button more comfortable to find and is a reliable way of logging into your MacBook Pro 13 inch, using just your fingerprint.
The device has a brilliant and stunning Retina display that delivers more than 4 million pixels and millions of colors. It supports the P3 wide color gamut and provides 500 nits of brightness.
Its display has LED-backlit with IPS technology, 2560×1600 resolution at 227 pixels per inch. The Touch ID is secure for online purchases, and we can quickly login with the help of it.
You will not get a 4K option in this entry level MacBook Pro, but you are getting a sharp and bright panel that is great for watching videos, editing photos, and getting work done. But during the display test, the 13-inch MacBook Pro 2020’s screen with 500 nits of brightness beat the 4K version of the Dell XPS 13 (301 nits) and the 1080p version (417nits).
We can now say RIP to the Butterfly keyboard of MacBook. Along with 13-inch MacBook Pro, the 16-inch MacBook Pro and the MacBook Air also features the Magic Keyboard.
The older Butterfly keys felt like typing on a rock, but this new Magic Keyboard’s key feels pillowy soft. There is a massive difference in how your wrists and hands feel while typing on the Magic Keyboard.
This Magic Keyboard uses scissor switches to achieve 1mm of crucial travel combined with an Apple-designed rubber dome and new keycap structure. Therefore, the overall typing experience is a lot more comfortable than before.
For $1,499 and $1,499, there are just two Thunderbolt 2 ports on the left side of the system and a headphone jack on the right side. But for $1,799, there are four Thunderbolt 3 ports, which allows you to plug in more peripherals at once. Therefore, I would like to prefer the $1,799 one to buy.
We can get four configurations of CPU for this device. The first is 1.4GHz quad-core 8th gen Intel Core i5, 128MP of eDRAM, Turbo Boost up to 3.9GHz. Secondly, the first can be configurable to 1.7GHz quad-core 8th gen Intel Core i7, Turbo Boost up to 4.5GHz, with 128MB of eDRAM.
The third is 2.00GHz quad-core 10th gen Intel Core i5 processor, Turbo Boost up to 3.8GHz, with 6MB shared L3 cache. Fourthly, the third can be configurable to 2.3GHz quad-core 10th gen Intel Core i7 processor, Turbo Boost up to 4.1GHz, with 8MB shared L3 cache.
This entry-level laptop takes on even the toughest tasks with this processor. It runs with ease, leading to a responsive and smooth experience, and the apps load up fast and courteous. When you are powering through pro-level processing jobs like layering multiple tracks in music composition, compiling, or encoding video, you will get everything done faster.
Either you are applying edits to gigapixel images in Photoshop or virtual loading instruments, or running multiple virtual machines; you will get up to 50% faster processor performance than its predecessors.
This device has a 59 watt-hour lithium-polymer battery that offers around 10 hours of battery life. This MacBook consists of 61W USB-C Power Adapter. It is undoubtedly impressive.
The runtime battery life of this MacBook is higher than the 4K version of Dell XPS 13(8:14). But it is behind the 1080p version of Dell’s laptop (12:39). The MacBook Pro 2020 specs feel appreciatable here.
